If something's wrong with your order, reach out within 50 days of delivery and we'll make it right. Damaged, faulty, or not what you ordered? That's on us — no cost to you. Changed your mind? We've got conditions for that, outlined below.
To be eligible for a return:
- The item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused.
- Not damaged or altered.
- Contact us at hello@thegroundedmanjournal.com within the 50-day window to begin the return process.
- You’ll also need the order number, name and email to process the return request.
How to do the Return
- To start a return, you can contact us within 50 days of the purchase at hello@thegroundedmanjournal.com.
- We may ask for a quick photo of the journal condition.
- Once approved, we will send you an Australia Post return barcode.
- Put the item in your own secure packaging and present the barcode at any Australia Post Branch
- Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately at hello@thegroundedmanjournal.com if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can resolve the issue and make it right.
Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a product has a major failure, you're entitled to a replacement or refund, plus compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure doesn't rise to that level but the product still falls short of acceptable quality, you're entitled to have it repaired or replaced.
This Refund Policy sits alongside — and does not limit — your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or modifies those rights. Our 50-day money back guarantee is offered in addition to them, not instead of them.
Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days.
Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

Pre-orders
If you have pre-ordered a title that has not been dispatched yet, you can cancel it for a full refund at any time before it ships. Just email us and we will take care of it. There are no conditions on this one.
Once a pre-order has been dispatched it is treated like any other order, and the sections above apply.
